Trevor Martin has been an associate at Martland & Saulnier since 2018.
His practice is focused on criminal law, with additional work in quasi-criminal and administrative law matters. He primarily acts as defence counsel in criminal cases, representing clients facing charges and investigations for all types of offences. He is occasionally retained as an ad hoc prosecutor for the Crown (BC Prosecution Service). He also regularly acts in police and professional misconduct proceedings and other administrative matters. He has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia – litigating both trials and appeals – as well as in Federal Court and before various administrative decision-makers.
Trevor holds a BA (Hons) from Queen’s University and received his JD from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law. After law school he completed a judicial clerkship at the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He then practiced with the Department of Justice Canada in the BC Regional Office before joining Martland & Saulnier.
